Learning and Skills Solutions Ltd is delighted to announce that it is one of a few providers now officially an approved Centre for the delivery of the Essential Digital Skills Qualification (EDSQ).

The awarding organisation partner is Gateway, and this news is timely given the recently announced changes in the delivery model for the Traineeships skills programme. Announced by Education & Skills Funding Agency earlier in 2020, confirmed that for all Traineeships starts as of 1st September 2020, will consist of four elements to include a basic skills element with English, Maths and Digital.

The Essential Digital Skills Qualification includes:

• Using devices and handling information (includes how to store information)
• Creating and editing
• Communicating online (such as via Social Media)
• Transacting (buying) online activities
• Being responsible, safe and legal online
